On January 17, 2014, a group of Romanian feminist activists, among them members of ASTRA Network, gathered in front of the Spanish Embassy in Bucharest to express their solidarity with the women of Spain who are currently facing a life-threatening challenge in the form of the new law banning abortions. There were carrying posters with pro-choice slogans.

The group also created an online petition that gathered close to 200 signatures in less than 24 hours:
