Black Friday in POLAND: Two proposals on abortion were today subject to vote in the Parliament and Poland chose to walk a path of misogyny and disregard for women’s health and their rights.

The “Stop Abortion” proposal introducing a total ban of abortion and criminalizing women goes to further works within commission, with support from 267 MPs. 154 MPs voted against the proposal, 11 abstained.

The “Save the Women” proposal on liberalization of the current law on abortion was dismissed by vote in the 1st reading by 230 MPs. 173 MPs wished to see the proposal to worked on within a commission. 15 abstained.

Hence, only the anti-abortion proposal will be further proceeded within the Sejm.

Additionally, the Sejm also sent to further proceedings draft legislation practically eliminating in vitro procedure.
