The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted three resolutions at its 29^th session that advance gender equality, empowerment and the human rights of women and girls. These resolutions are entitled:

• Accelerating Efforts to Eliminate all Forms of Violence Against Women: Eliminating Domestic Violence

• Strengthening efforts to prevent and eliminate child, early and forced marriage

• Elimination of discrimination against women
