The UN High Level Panel is meeting for the 4th time in Bali to discuss the future development agenda in regards to the MDGs. The Global Civil Society Consultations took place on 23rd and 24th of March. Irina Costache from A.L.E.G., Romania is representing ASTRA Network at this crucial meeting.

The Civil Society and participants of the Women’s Caucus came forth with a Civil Society Communiqué which includes several references to sexual and reproductive health and rights, in addition to the references in the other outcome documents that have also gone forward to the High Level Panel on Saturday and Sunday – thanks to the collective efforts of APA, ASTRA, ARROW, DAWN, IPPF and IWHC, as well as other organizations. This Civil Society Communiqué was presented in the morning plenary at the HLP meeting on Monday, 25th of March.
