The World Health Organisation released its 2013 Update on Priority Medicines for Europe and the World. The report, produced with the financial assistance of the European Union, identifies priorities for medicines development for 2014 to 2020. It recommends strengthening the capacity of women but also doctors and pharmacists to take informed decisions, especially in relation to contraception (including emergency contraception) and improving knowledge and attitudes towards contraception.
